BrightGirl Media was born out of desire to help businesses grow by attracting the right attention.
Chanelle Yarber is Chief Marketing Maven at BrightGirl Media. The company is her brainchild – born out of necessity and purposely crafted to help small businesses attract the right attention on the Internet.
In 2013, she was one of 20 women entrepreneurs recognized in the Elevate by Fairfield program and one of 25 African-American women chosen to travel to Africa to cross-pollinate business and technology practices with the Geeks Gone Global program. She was named Urban League of Dallas Young Professionals Member of the Year in 2014. Chanelle is also a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. where she serves on numerous committees.
Her interests range from digital media and entrepreneurship to African American Studies, social justice, and the economic empowerment of communities of color.
On the weekends, you can catch her hanging with friends, trying a new restaurant around Dallas, taking a much needed nap, or working on a community service project.
Communications. Media. Bright Ideas. This is the fabric of which BrightGirl Media was born. In 2012, Chanelle Yarber started the media and marketing agency when she realized small businesses were not capitalizing or being properly represented on the Internet.
Starting with social media marketing and video production as the two service offerings, over time the company has grown to include website and mobile app development, search engine optimization, email marketing, community outreach program development, and print marketing services.
